Brazil’s and Argentina’s relations with the United States are of special interest, because of the relevance of both countries in the Latin American economic and political scenario, and of the decisive historically role played by ties with the great powers. Therefore, the use this article will be to support the understanding of the similarities and differences between the coup d’état processes of the 60’s, as well as understand the role of the US in this process. After reading the text, it is also understood that its analysis referring to the background of the events that formed the coup by the military, as well as the economic and political events are also of equal relevance for the development of a solid argument referring to my expectations of use the text as a reference now to define the differences in the South American military regimes
