This paper seeks to address how institutional insecurity has emerged as a critical problem for the Latin community, that is, the text analyzes the fragility of the region from the perspective of institutional ruptures caused by military coups and mainly by the factor that motivates these in their actions. majorities, populism. The text also has interesting demographic statistics for carrying out a deeper analysis of the relationship with the profile of the person who supports these dictatorial governments, in addition to analyzes of trust in relation to the armed forces. This thesis will be used to support the understanding of the scope of action of military governments in Latin America, and how their presence was harmful to republican, democratic and institutional principles in those countries, in addition to understanding the crimes against humanity carried out by these regimes.
